Native to: French Polynesia, now established in Australia, various Asian countries, the West Indies, and Pacific Islands.
Toxicity: Contains insoluble calcium oxalates. May cause mild to severe irritation and swelling of the mouth, throat, and stomach. May cause excessive drooling, vomiting, and difficulty swallowing. Pothos plants are one of the most common live plants used in chameleon enclosures, without issue.


Pothos are one of the most popular house plants out there, maybe even the most popular, and for good reason. Pothos plants are very hard and easy to care for. They thrive in most light and humidity levels, with the exception of harsh, full sun.

Pothos is a vigorously growing vining plant, with lush green foliage that is happy to climb a trellis or dangle gracefully over the sides of a planter or basket. It is easily propagated, which you will soon appreciate as this plant does well with occasional pruning.
